He's the rightful Heir of Slytherin and Bellatrix is sure that she’s the Heir of House Black. There’s no doubt about it after Sirius was disowned and Regulus refused the heirship.
But something goes wrong. Bellatrix does not get pregnant. Because unbeknownst to everyone except Sirius who was really drunk at the time, she is not the true heir. Harry Potter is. He's also still very much a virgin. Oops?

That's why the first thing Tom Riddle sees after following the ring's instructions are two soldiers lying on the ground and a ruffled young man huffing and looking at him cautiously like a cornered animal.
"They tripped," he says in defence while also kicking one soldier in the shin and not even trying to look believable.

But there's a secret experimental lab, the Malfoys mysteriously vanish, George can't look him in the eye, the Unspeakables won't leave him alone, and (not necessarily all in this order) and his little baby girl has a boyfriend! At her age!
How is he going to protect this little life he's made for himself when half of it wasn't supposed to exist?
