Summary
By day, they know each other’s names. By night, they meet as strangers.

And they click. Too easily. Too naturally. Over clinking glasses of water and banter, something begins. Something neither of them understands and neither of them wants to stop.
By day, they argue across briefing tables. By night, they fall into conversations they shouldn’t be having. One "coincidental" meeting becomes two. Then more. Then it gets complicated.
Because enemies aren’t supposed to laugh. Strangers aren’t supposed to ache. And no one is supposed to fall in love with someone they already hate.

Summary
Adam makes a reckless bet with the other exorcists—get a kiss from the ever-unshakable Lieutenant Lute by midnight on Valentine’s Day. Easy, right?
Wrong.
Lute is cold, impossible, and completely immune to his usual charm. But Adam? He’s persistent. He flirts, teases, pushes just enough to see if she’ll crack. And slowly—almost imperceptibly—the game starts to shift.
And by the time midnight looms, the bet doesn’t matter anymore.

Summary
Lute reluctantly attends Adam’s Extermination after-party, annoyed by the chaos and his carefree attitude. Despite her resistance, Adam’s playful teasing and banter draw her in, leading to a game of spin the bottle. When the bottle lands on her, they end up in “7 minutes in heaven.” What starts as lighthearted turns into an unexpectedly intimate and emotional encounter, leaving Lute profoundly changed when they return to the group.

Adam can’t say he’s surprised that yet another publicist for his band has quit after less than a week on the job.
It got boring after the fifth time in one month.
Too bad his record label has assigned yet another person on the job. This time however, things would be much, much different.

Or, the AU where Adam is a lead singer in a band and Lute is the new-hired publicist who has to follow him around on tour and protect his image so she doesn’t lose a job and he doesn’t lose a record deal.
