On an evening that Connor isn’t responding to Hank’s messages the android decides to pay a visit to the lieutenant’s home to get some answers.
Some answers being to questions he hadn’t even realized he’s been subconsciously asking himself ever since the two met.

Especially the younger, mr. Connor Kamski, seems determined to become closely acquainted with the Andersons. Though the reserved Lieutenant starts off suspicious of possible underlying motives, he can not help but develop a liking to the bright young man as he gradually starts taking up more space in his life and his thoughts. Yet the attachment might come with additional hurdles to overcome, as something else besides genuine affection for the gentleman firmly starts to take root.

Hank opens his eyes.
A brown-haired man has his mouth firmly clamped over Hank’s. He blows air into Hank with such force that it makes something deep in his chest spasm.

Summary
After the success of the Revolution, things are far from being over. Yes, the army might have retreated and yes, they finally might be recognized as the living beings they are, but that still doesn’t mean androids are completely free, at least not in a political way.
So after a phone call with President Warren, Markus and The Gang (now with an additional Connor) embark on a journey to Washington D.C. to start negotiations with the humans to ensure the rights of their people. Meanwhile they all try to handle their own personal issues by themselves (and later, together).
Aka political shenanigans with the gang, while Connor is trying to figure out who he is and who he wants to be. With a side-dish of him keeping in touch with Hank through the phone, which is at first just them being all buddies and cops, until it all starts bordering on being more than Just Friendly Talks In The Middle Of The Night.

Everything had been fine until Mr. Toothpick and his too clean shoes bought the property across the way. Hank wasn’t even sure what the point of the land was to the man. From what he’d heard, Connor Stern was a city slicker that would sooner kiss a pig than perform manual labor.
__Connor and Hank meet and strike up a feud on the same day. Things get interesting when Connor hurts himself on the job and Hank learns he is Connor's emergency contact.

Not that he was eager to chase away this particular parent. Mr. Barba seemed intent to look just about everywhere but at Sonny, turning startling green eyes and razor sharp attention to the art on the walls, the line of cubbies with hooks beneath them, the vat of legos Chris and Natalie had just managed to dump out all over the floor. Sonny cleared his throat and held out his hand.
“Nice to meet you Mr. Barba, my name is Sonny. I'm the lead teacher here in the EPK room. EPK all the way,” he added from rote, his fists shaking in the air above his head in the mock cheer he was always trying to get the kids to copy. Sonny was babbling, and treating a full grown man like a toddler.
Sonny was in trouble.

Mangled and raped bodies have been turning up all over New York and the inhabitants are scared. Ten murders in ten weeks, all committed with the same knife, and still nobody has a clue who the killer is. All the victims are young, male Catholics suspected to be closeted gays, kidnapped and held until they're killed and their bodies are dumped in alleys and sewers. No good clues as to who's next, until a message is found carved into the most recent vic's chest. All it says is:
