Summary
The mission was simple. Thanks to Loki's discovery, the Minutemen (with Loki and Mobius in tow) would rush the Roxxcart warehouse, catch the Variant, and finally put an end to the attacks (and hopefully reclaim all the stolen reset charges).
The mission stopped being simple when Mobius became the Variant's unwilling puppet.

Summary
Mobius and TVA saw Loki blow up the loom and walk into a tear in the universe and never return: they all believe he is dead. Heartbroken, Mobius goes to live on the timeline in order to honor Loki's sacrifice, but he spirals into darker and worse ways to deal with his grief, until eventually it turns out what he thought were hallucinations haunting him were actually Loki himself.

“Says a Loki,” Mobius whispered, his hands shaking.
“Now you’re beginning to understand,” said Loki, and beckoned him closer.

“But I did,” George said. He paused to cough, jostling Mick’s head.
Mick picked up his head and grabbed George’s hand, pulling it against his lips.
“I got out of the car because I knew you were there waiting for me. You kept me going, darling.”
Mick’s eyes burned with tears and he looked away.
“When you’re better,” he finally said, thickly. “We need to have a long conversation about your self preservation.”
“You do too,” George said, running his thumb over the line of fading bruises on Mick’s knuckles.

“Sure,” Rafael agrees. It’s surprisingly easy to agree. His heart isn’t even racing yet.
“You’re freaking out, aren’t you?” Carisi, blue and ethereal as he is, sets the briefcase aside and stands. “C’mon, counselor, don’t freak out on me. I’ve been freaking out for like, two hours.”
Or, Carisi's in a coma. Carisi is also somehow haunting Rafael. It all works out in the end.

Summary
Acceptance, he's realising, is key. Accepting that his old life is gone, accepting that he can't just steal his life back. Accepting that he's not as strong as he'd thought he was, that he'd let things get so bad. That he needed help, and he equally wasn't beyond it.
Accepting that Loki is gone, and Mobius will never stop waiting for him.
(OR: Mobius is learning to heal, one step at a time. But that doesn't mean he's forgetting, and that doesn't make him any less a fool. But he'll be one for Loki. Always.)

Summary
He doesn't like it when things get messy. He prefers clean breaks, and he deeply appreciates that this is the first moment that Sonny has even tiptoed over the line Rafael had drawn in the sand when he'd ended things between them. He doesn't want to encourage further intrusions, further boundary testing.
Except.
That's not really what this is, tonight. Even Rafael can see that. Sonny's so quiet, so withdrawn. He's hurt and hurting, and he came to Rafael because he didn't know where else to go.

“Mobius, there is no ‘figuring something out’. You say you know me, but I know power. After you find this Variant, I won’t have enough to bargain with anymore. The Time Keepers won’t want me after we're done. I'm a threat. And they're right. I'll kill them at the first opportunity.”
Mobius flinched at the mental image of Loki killing the keepers, but he knew he was being honest.
Loki continued, “After we’re done, you'll get the victor's parade- ‘Oh, clever Mobius, the hero of the TVA’, and I'll turn to vapor.”
That was exactly the plan. For a moment, the gray curtain of bureaucracy lifted and Mobius saw something more than the paperwork and signatures. He saw Loki. This Loki wasn’t just a video anymore. This Loki knew his name. He was asking -or threatening- him for help. Was he really going to delete him? Could he actually do it?
