“It’s okay, just breathe baby, I’ve got you, gonna make you feel better, okay?” Minho murmured in his ear, pressing gentle kisses against his temple and using his other hand to rub soothing circles into his back as he played with Jisung’s hair. Eventually, his breaths slowed and the sobs stopped, and Minho felt the arms wrapped loosely around his neck pull tighter as the boy in his lap nuzzled in closer.
“That’s it baby, there you go, you’re doing so well baby,” Minho cooed at him as he pulled his own arms a little tighter around Jisung, running his hands up and down his back as he held him close. Suddenly, the boy pulled back to blink at Minho owlishly before his jaw dropped and he just stared.
It had taken him a few minutes to register what was happening. Last he could remember, he was on the floor inside, but now he was straddling someone’s lap outside Chan’s house. Someone who smelled incredible, like warm vanilla and a hint of something earthy. Someone who was warm and soft and whose lap was the most comfortable seat Jisung had ever sat on. Someone who was kissing his head and playing with his hair and calling him baby.

Summary
After his first encounter with serial killer Minho, (former)Detective Jisung finds himself living with and helping the killer. He could say Minho had him at gunpoint at all times, that he was forced to help him clean the basement, which his colleagues and his psychologist would easily believe, that he had acted on survival instinct, that he had no other choice. However, he knew better, and his self-guilt would never allow him to go back and pretend Minho hadn’t unleashed something in him. A monster as evil as him.

With Jisung's sudden disappearance and evidence being found that he has fallen in the hands of the serial killer, his friend Changbin can't accept that he's probably dead and Chan, a federal agent who's been introduced to the investigation is there to help him. Whatever Jisung had found that led him to the killer, Changbin and Chan don’t know, but the killer had obviously hidden his tracks after almost being caught. And Changbin… Whence he once only wanted to catch the culprit of such heinous crimes, now he just wants his light back.
