Evidently for him that was even a rhetorical question.
Shadow, with arms crossed and leaning against the wall, glared at him.
"You know perfectly that we have the same speed" said, definitive. Sonic approached him with half-closed eyes, leaning towards him: "Just because you have those shoes to give you the push."

Summary
“Vernon.” He wants to say the word out loud, but he isn’t sure whether his parched throat can articulate it; all that comes out is a croak. Of course, Roche would be here, too. Is he amongst the dead or the living, still? It doesn’t really matter. It’s only fitting that he is here now, at the end.
“Bloody elf.” Roche’s shape wavers, reaching out towards Iorveth. Strange. The ghosts haven’t really spoken to him before and Roche’s voice sounds astonishingly real. “Couldn’t you have died somewhere else instead of trying to do so on my bloody doorstep?”
*Roche finds a half-dead Iorveth in the forest and nurses him back to health, rekindling something between them in the process.
