Summary
Kremnos and Okhema have been at war for years. After suffering a catastrophic loss, Mydei is taken captive by Okhema's leader himself, Phainon. But Phainon is not looking to claim Kremnoan territory. Instead, he wants a well-guarded reality-warping secret and Mydei is the one biological key that can unlock it.

Summary
When a valuable blueprint goes missing, Mydei has to team up with his ex-partner, Phainon, to retrieve it. Forced to deal with Phainon's antics again, Mydei is reminded why he left in the first place. However, the reunion also reminds Mydei exactly why he is so inexplicably drawn to the chaos—especially when he discovers just how far Phainon is willing to go to make sure Mydei never leaves him again.

Tasked with managing the dead for a superstitious town that despises him, Mydei has to take on all the roles of a mortician, coroner and even gravedigger. Mydei believes he is protecting his assistant from the townsfolk and the nature of the profession, completely unaware that Phainon is a fae he unknowingly bound himself to many years ago.

Phainon removes one of his hands to brush Mydei’s hair aside, freeing that pristine neck. He softly groans as he trails kisses down the skin, all sorts of emotions he can’t begin to verbalize churning in his chest. It feels as if Phainon is tied, and he’s on his knees, forced to watch the world around him crumble. Are they going to take Mydeimos away from him? Have they had enough of his protection, his care? Has he done something to offend them, somehow?
Who would take care of the once proud lion of Kremnos, if not for Phainon of Aedes Elysiae?
