Summary
In many occasions Daron would be in some corner, wearing one of Serj’s or Shavo’s baggy shirts or sweaters that would reach Daron mid thigh or even lower. He hoped he was wearing shorts under those, but he was quite afraid that was not the case. He’d follow the boys around with his eyes that would stare at Daron with hungry looks and he could relate as he tried not to do the same.
Some sadness would fill his lungs up like water as he knew none of the guys would ever look at him like that. He was too big, too awkward, his face too wide, too unattractive. His eyes weren’t near as expressive as Daron’s, his mind wasn’t close as brilliant, his spirit not near as artistic, fingers nowhere close being as talented. John was… just John, and there was no way around it.
OR: The one where John is deeply in love with his band mates, but doesn't see that they love him back.

It is ironical how Shavo feels now when he clearly remembers hating the guy’s guts when he first met him. He clearly recalls telling Serj that the guy would never fit the band, that he was too plain, too ordinary. And Shavo was not a snob and he did not judge people by their looks, but there was something about John that ticked him off bad to the point that he would want to punch his face in.
His thoughts get distorted as John in front of him lowers the bottle of beer on the glass coffee table and grabs the hem of his t-shirt lifting it up and off and Shavo feels his mouth completely dry.

You see, telling your boyfriend of two months who is also your band mate for over 3 years that you were born a female is not something that hasn’t crossed Daron’s mind. This fact is only logical, but the topic has never come up. How could it be? It’s not like one simply doubts something like that and has to ask. Their friendship has been amazing enough so that bringing up the fact that Daron is trans has felt like unnecessary information.

“It’s just that…” He begins, not sure of how he is going to finish that sentence. He takes a deep breath, then another. “It is work related.” Yeah, that sounds like a reasonable reason not to want to talk. He knows Sarp won’t push it any further and so Mert won’t have to explain himself.
There is nothing to explain, really. Mert has done nothing this time. However, he cannot help but feel a little down from time to time. Just the tinniest bits of blue, like everybody else. And just like everybody else he has this unbearable urge to drink his weight in alcohol until he cannot remember his own name, or gently insert a fucking bullet in his skull and get it over with.

Everything about Sarp makes him angry, but the fact that he likes that thick skull he is about to bash to the wall makes him furious.
