"Any mix-ins?" He asks the rest of the team as he starts moving around the kitchen.
"Only the sweetest," Tommy teases, sitting down at the table along with Addie. They both have computers with them and a stack of paperwork. Reese and Emi join them, but their attention is on their phones. Still, Emi feigns a gagging sound, earning her a kick under the table from Reese as the shorter girl throws a smile in Evan and Tommy's directions.
"So mustard in Emi's pancakes," Evan comments. "Bananas in Tommy's, blueberries in Cap's," he states out loud. "Chocolate chips for me."
"Buckley you already brought cupcakes," Addie comments as she slides her glasses on, staring at her computer. "Do you need that much sugar in the morning?"
"The real question is does he need that much sugar in one hour," Tommy adds, flipping open one of the folders in front of him.

This time its Buck who’s crying with laughter. Eddie isn’t usually the one making jokes like that so it was extremely unexpected. Not that Buck disagrees at all with the comment. “Eddie, I think it's time I introduce you to the joys of Fanficiton.” he pulls out his phone and quickly types AO3 into the browser.
“Fanfiction? What the hell is that?” Eddie is looking at Buck extremely confused.
”It's when people write stories about shows or movies they like and they make the characters do things that don’t actually happen. For example,” he turns his phone to show Eddie the list of fics under the Luke Alvez/ Spencer Reid tag. “There’s plenty of people that agree with us and they decided to write stories where Luke and Spencer are together.”

“I don’t think I understand.” Buck frowned as he double checked to make sure no one was around to overhear. Not like they had when Bobby got the call about his donated blood. “Can you run that by me one more time?”
“Alright. When we ran your blood work, we also found you listed as an organ donor, but not from when you filed your driver’s license. You were a donor for bone marrow when you were a child, for another child with cancer. And we were wanting to know if you were interested in staying on the donor list?”
“I donated bone marrow as a kid.” Buck repeated dumbly. “Where, uh, where did you get that record from, just to refresh my memory?”
“Oh, no worries. This happened when you were just over a year old, so you wouldn’t have any solid memories of it.” The woman said certainly. As if that made what he was hearing easier. “We found the match through Hershey General. We didn’t request a full record, though, since that’s not really our area.”

Buck doesn't want to do it, but he does, because Bobby tells him it's for a good cause. Except they mostly want to talk to the actors and first responders about their lives outside of their careers. Things like what they did before following the path they chose. Except ... Buck never talked to anyone about what he did before. And now he's stuck doing an interview with his friends about it.
He's not being petty because Eddie's leaving soon. He's being petulant. Because this is stupid.

"We've got to be quiet," Buck's voice whispered to Athena's surprise.
She stood still in the low light of the kitchen and watched Buck and Tommy sneak their way toward the front door. She couldn’t help but chuckle softly at the sight of them: holding hands and sneaking around like a couple of teenagers, giggling quietly as they did so.
She came to stand in the hallway and watched them for a little while longer. They hadn’t even managed to get all the way to the front door before Buck had pulled Tommy into another kiss and whispered in the air between them words that were clearly only meant for Tommy’s ears. Another kiss.
And another.
Athena knew that when it was with the right person, there could never be enough of them.

Not that Shannon had a lot of room to talk, what with leaving her own family. She’d … told Buck pieces. Nothing concrete. He knew that she was still technically married, but that she was planning to get a divorce when she felt like she was ready to let go because she knew her husband would not be the one to do it.
