“Are you new to this or something?” Steve asks, the question blunt but he has to know. Eddie seems too shy and sweet for him to be an industry veteran. Most of them ended up the same way Steve had–slightly bitter, a bit standoffish, overall just doing what they do best for the paycheck. Eddie seemed different.
“Is it that obvious?” he says quietly, dipping his eyes to Steve’s chin so as to not make eye contact. Steve’s heart flutters.

Eddie’s surprised, but she doesn’t let it show on her face. Pride surges through her at Stevie’s request, knowing how hard it can be for her to ask for the things she wants.
“You want to dom me? We can make that happen, baby.” She presses a kiss to the underside of Stevie’s wrist. “Anything in particular you want to have happen?”
“Um, nothing crazy, I don’t think,” she starts, looking down at their hands as Eddie intertwines their fingers together. “I just want to make you feel good, and I want you to lie back and take it.”
Despite her nervousness, the words make Eddie’s blood run hot, a pink flush dusting over her cheeks that matches the one spreading across Stevie’s at her boldness. Leaning in, Eddie kisses Stevie, their lips sliding together sensually for a long moment before Eddie pulls away, just enough to whisper, “I can’t wait to see what you have in store for me.”

Like he’s…shielding Eddie from something worse than everything that’s already come, somehow, and that’s fucking terrifying in and of itself but—
But Steve—who he barely knows but feels like he knows somewhere deep in his chest—Steve protecting Eddie, and hurting all the more for taking the hit?
It’s unacceptable. It’s sour in Eddie’s veins.
“If I fuck it up again, it won’t matter, I guess,” Steve speaks almost to himself, like he’s reasoning with the universe.
That tips the sour feeling straight into full on sick.

The metalhead thought to make a joke to alleviate the awkwardness, but as he geared up to say something, Argyle of all people spoke up, gesturing toward the screen.

“Oh.” Steve tries to wrap his head around the bizarre image of Eddie standing on the tip of his toes with his dick out, aiming his stream into the sink. “Okay. Okay, I—right.”
