Lucifer’s wings are beautiful. A majestic display of white and crimson, glimmering with a power beyond the comprehension of human souls. And he does not allow anyone to touch them.

Summary
It was the shadow’s job to worry. Among duties such as being a companion, the shadow had been created to protect Alastor. They kept a look out for any creeping sinners seeking to get easy power, and when Alastor was injured, they always whisked him away to heal in private. The hows and whys of Alastor’s daily life were nothing that they concerned their head about. They expressed Alastor’s deepest emotions and they assisted their companion with whatever he needed. All that mattered was that Alastor remained safe and happy. If he were safe and happy, they were safe and happy.
At the moment, Alastor was neither.
The shadow needed to change that, and to accomplish such a monumental task, they would need help.

Summary
Shame was easier than wanting. Vox made sure it stayed that way, teaching Alastor to keep the mirror covered, to flinch from his own softness, to turn arousal into proof of obedience, and to believe the body he was born in could never be a man’s.
But Lucifer doesn’t look away.
In the Devil’s hands, touch is no longer performance, pleasure no longer a debt. The body Vox tried to break becomes Alastor’s again—wanted, kept, and reclaimed.
