Summary
Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man, finally starts to catch a break. That is, until a random portal appears and rips Peter from his home and into a strange city he had never heard of. Trapped, Peter must try to find a way to get back home without a place to stay, money, or even his Spider-Man suit. All while trying to keep under the radar of this strange city's even stranger vigilantes, who seem to find him to be a very suspicious character.

Summary
Peter Parker has a perfectly arranged life. He lives with his two best friends (one of whom is technically a retired supervillain, the other a living torch), the Avengers treat him like an innocent child, and the elite of New York's vigilantes and mercenaries consider him the most terrifying crime boss in the city. It was a house of cards that had to fall eventually. And it all started with coffee and a slice of cake.

“Hey, kid. Ever been on a road trip?” Tony asked, clicking the pen in his hand repeatedly.
“A road trip?” Peter sounded interested. “Not in a long time, I haven’t. Why?”
“How would you feel about taking that assignment in Virginia? With the Veterans?" Tony dropped the pen to pick at a loose thread.
“Hmm. Are you going to offer to drive there with me when you could literally just fly there?”
“Yep.”
“Oh, man. A quick flight, or being trapped with you in an enclosed space for hours and hours…count me in! I love road trips!” Peter sounded genuinely enthused. “When do we leave?”
(they go on a roadtrip. heads up: majority of the fic happens not on the road, or even in a car.)

“I think he’s sick.” Bato says flatly. “So unless you want the next meeting to include the Fire Lord puking all over the budget scrolls, maybe see if he's okay?”
Hakoda glances up the hallway, like perhaps Katara will appear and take over dealing with the prickly teenager. Of course, his daughter is off treating injured refugees with the Avatar, and Bato is still staring at him expectantly, arms crossed.
“Fine,” He sighs, and he claps Bato on the cheek before heading into the room.
