It all started when he developed a bad habit, one that had caught up to him and caused the cycle of abuse to start.
Garmadon had insisted that it was purely out of goodwill, that he was just teaching him a lesson as parents would but, when it started to get more physical than the usual stern reprimanding; the fear started to kick in and eventually, he was walking on eggshells around his temperamental father and hiding the abuse from his friends and by extension, his other 'family.'
How long will he be able to hide his father's dirty little secret until the truth comes out?

Sometimes when Lloyd feels too stressed and overwhelmed, he finds himself wishing he was a little kid again, so much so that he actually feels like he is. He's very careful to keep these indulgences to himself, but after everything that happened with Harumi and with his father, he's been having a harder time controlling his headspace, and he fears he might accidentally let something slip in front of the others.

Summary
Lloyd Garmadon is used to being hated. That's just how his life works—if someone knows that he's the son of the warlord who attacks Ninjago City on a weekly basis, they hate his guts. That's why he's made sure that his team—the only people he's ever been happy with—don't know who he is behind the mask, with the small price attached that he doesn't know their identities, either. It's not like the rest of them know each other's, anyways, so it's not a big deal.
But then they find out.
The fact that Lloyd's elemental power makes him an empath doesn't help, either.
[Basically the premise of the movie pre-reveal with show elements and personalities, and Lloyd's Green Power is him being able to sense and be influenced by the emotions of those around him.]

After pushing the Eclipse Canon away, Shadow tried to locate his limiter rings after they had fallen to earth. Only able to find two of them before G.U.N. confiscated the others, he ends up heavily worn down by G.U.N. and his own unstable chaos energy; to the point he can no longer fight back on his own. G.U.N. chases him as he runs to Green Hills to maybe get help from Sonic and his family, barely getting rescued in time.

Just a story I wrote for the sake of writing about the first few days of Shadow being adopted by the Wachowski fam, and whatever family fluff comes up in the process.
