Summary
Mike's parents have an agenda for him, one he wants to avoid following. He doesn't want to go to college. He doesn't want to get a girlfriend or get married. Mike wants to sit in his room all day and play his guitar. That is until his mom forces him to bring a date to a family celebration, and he thinks of a brilliant plan to piss his parents off. He forms an alliance with the new kid, Will Byers, in which he agrees to go with Mike to his family dinner, and they pretend they're dating.
They planned the fake dating part at the dinner party, but what happens when they keep the facade up to help Will?
What happens when Mike and Will start becoming good friends? Or even scarier...What happens when Mike starts catching feelings?

Mike’s heart feels like it’s about to burst out of his chest. Will is still looking at him, and he swallows, throat dry. “Yeah?”
Will’s own face reddens, like he’d just thought about what he said. “Yeah,” he answers, and Mike grins.Living in a shared apartment with Will is all Mike could ask for, except for the part where he keeps thinking about kissing Will in the middle of their kitchen.

“Guys, Mike’s not like me, he just can’t name characters.” They both give him a pointed look, clearly not believing a word. “I’m serious, every character is a reference to someone we know.”
“Are they now?” Dustin raises an eyebrow at him.
“Yes!” Will is perhaps a bit exasperated, “Stephen and Jay are clearly Steve and Robin, and James is Hopper,” at the blank look they give him, he clarifies, “his first name is Jim.”
This somehow only makes Lucas seem more unimpressed, “okay, but you do see how that’s more suspicious right?”
“What? That Mike can’t come up with names?”
“No,” Lucas shakes his head and clasps Will in the shoulder, “that the first name Mike thought to cannibalize when coming up with a boyfriend for you was his own”.The party grows closer after Will moves in with the Wheelers, picking up D&D again. It all goes well until Mike introduces a new character, Sir. Gabriel Whepler, whose sole purpose seems to be flirting with Will.

Mike is pretty sure of his feelings for his best friend, but he's never had the chance to put them to the test- that is, until a drunken game of spin the bottle at Stacey's party.

“Looks like I bit you.” Will tilts his head to get a better look. All Mike can do is stare at him. His fluffy hair at the front, clumped pieces at the back where he’d slid his fingers in a mere few minutes before. His pretty green eyes that look hazel or even brown in this light, the dark circles he gets when he drinks framing them like intricate paintings. A satisfied, bloody smile.
Mike isn’t satisfied. He swallows thickly, choking down the words 'don’t you want more?'
Or: Will dresses as a vampire for a college halloween party, but Mike thinks his costume isn’t bloody enough. Will lets him fix it. Mike goes into a crisis.

“I have an idea,” says Mike.
Ice cubes form in Will’s stomach. “How dangerous is it? Like, should I call Dustin to talk you down, or should I call Nancy to be ready to drive us to the hospital?”
“No,” says Mike, “you can’t tell anyone or it won’t work.”
“Or what won’t work?” Will asks. It’s like picking up a rock you know a spider will be under.
Mike gets up and closes Will’s door. Hopper doesn’t make them keep it open but sometimes Will does anyway, because every now and then lying around alone with Mike on his bed just makes his chest ache too much. If the door is open he can tell himself You can’t do anything right now, someone will see.
Mike leans back against the door. His eyes are lit up with that special maniacal gleam that the Wheelers get right before they do something insane, like when Nancy says, “Then we have to go kill Vecna ourselves,” or whatever. “Take me to the wedding,” says Mike.
“Yeah,” says Will slowly, “you’ll be at the wedding. Obviously.”

Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. The usually sharp lines of the hallway were unsteady around her, the edges where the floor met the walls fuzzy and uncertain. Sober Elphaba would’ve found this perceptive predicament deeply troubling. Drunk Elphaba was learning that sober Elphaba was overreactive. She felt pleasant enough with Galinda’s hands wrapped around her arm, guiding her as smoothly as she could back to their room, and lighter than she had felt possibly ever.OR

“Kissing? Spidey? Me? I would never,” Johnny scoffs, right as he finishes making a date to meet Spidey later that night. “Not in a million years. I am way out of his league. I’m so far above him he can’t even see me.”
Spidey’s going to see plenty of Johnny later tonight, but Sue doesn’t need to know anything about that.
