Briar Theodore Evans was born the 30th of January, 1960 at 8:32 pm. A whole 6 minutes before Lily Jane Evans, who followed at precisely 8:38 pm. This wasn’t how it was supposed to happen. At least, it’s not how Briar remembered it happening when he read the books. Not that there was much he could remember about Harry Potter’s parents anymore. It had been years and they were such a small part. . .
Or
Briar may’ve come preloaded with the memories of a 23 year old—who once held a close to encyclopedic knowledge of the Harry Potter Series—but that does little to actually help him become powerful enough to fight Voldemort. He’s only capable of so much while stuck with a child’s brain and forced to grow up in 1960s & 70s Cokeworth England. Not to mention his less than ideal socio-political positions in, not just one, but two new worlds.
Struggling to gain enough power and knowledge to save Lily, Briar fights to reach his only life goal.
If only other people would stop distracting him. . .

Summary

Summary
Regulus was always quite fond of death. So when he was forced into defying the Dark Lord and his parents, he was excited that it would lead to where he meets his end. Even if that meant finally doing what he had feared for so long.
After being neglected of an option to do anything else besides searching for Voldemort’s secret—and finding it—he wound up in a cave that he just knew would be his resting place.
Except it wasn’t.
After achieving the goal, he was forced into death’s grip but then instantly hauled out before he could be relieved.
Waking up in the body of his 11 year old self with a brother that cares for him once more is the exact opposite of what Regulus needed.
He needed death, not another chance.
Or…
Regulus comes to terms with his life and only hopes for a way out. He didn’t however hope for that way to be through time rewinding until he was back to his first day of Hogwarts, completely erasing the past 7 years. Nor did he ever hope to meet James Potter again.

Oblivious to everything else, James raises an eyebrow towards Regulus. 'I guess we’ll be seeing each other around, then?'

When Sirius moves out, Regulus Black thinks that maybe James Potter will finally be out of his life too.
Good. Competition season is coming up, and it'll be his first year at the junior level. As the upcoming skating star of the Black family, Regulus can't afford to lose–and the absolute last thing he needs is a hockey player to mess everything up for him. All he needs is for James to stay out of his way, and he'll be good as gold.
James doesn't stay out of his way. And Regulus has a long way to go before he can even think about bearing a medal around his neck.

Summary
Regulus Arcturus Black is dead.
He might still breathe, and his heart has yet to stop, but Regulus Black is dead.
He's dead because Regulus has no plans on living past his sixth year of Hogwarts, and he's dragging his entire family (sans Sirius, Narcissa and Andromeda) and over half the pureblood population down with him.
While he waits for his end, Regulus finds out that being dead grants someone an unexpected lack of hesitation to do stupid things.
But hey, can you really blame a dead boy for wanting to live a little?
