Legends speak of a pokemon so terrible and violent, Arceus had banished it to the distortion realm.
But legend and fact are two different things. Legends are full of exaggeration and lore, woven to scare children to be good or to teach others to be wary of their actions. Fact are what happened, undeniable truth.
Arceus had banished Giratina, not because it was terrible and violent, but because what else was a parent to do?
And Giratina was never as violent as it was thought to be, it was just a young god with unfathomable power.
Not even the Gods are perfect.

“You have been less willing to eat your breakfast as of late.” Blunt and to the point, HAL was. Dave huffed a small, breathless laugh. “Are you feeling okay?”
“Yes, Hal, really. I’m- look at me, I’m fine.” He set down his art supplies and held open his hands, in a kind of come-search-me gesture. That kind of buzzing noise again. Dave continued to associate it with the camera, and imagined HAL scanning him carefully. “I’m just not hungry.”
“Just a moment.” HAL is quiet. “It is typical for your species to eat three and a half meals a day. It is 0900 ship time, which still coincides with a typical breakfast, but is a little late for it. You should try to eat now, to ensure continued good health and accordance with your circadian rhythm.”

Dave doesn't want breakfast. HAL doesn't get it. They talk about the American breakfast being an ad campaign, flowers, and about how Dave's irrational desire to go hungry this morning does NOT reflect on his relationship with HAL.

Now they have to deal with eachother in the same house, and trying not to look like an old forest man, a toaster with a body, a literal corpse and a walking tree in public.

Summary
The story of Leshy and P03 before the OLD_DATA was discovered.
This takes place prior to the Scrybes becoming corrupted. P03 is much more naive, Leshy’s power hunger is only starting to grow, Grimora isn’t set on destroying the game, and Magnificus is able to see multiple possible future outcomes.
However, as time goes on and events take place, the trauma will change them forever into who they become by the end of Inscryption…
UPDATE:
Surprisingly, I am still very into Inscryption despite how much time has passed. However, I just moved to my own place, am working three jobs, and am currently putting my focus and energy on my Cult of the Lamb fic, which I intend on finishing. I do plan to come back to this eventually. What can I say? I still can't get Leshy and P03 off my mind, and writing for these dusty old Scrybes is a good time.Thank you for reading and supporting my writing. Enjoy!
