He didn't mean for any of this, it had never been his intention. Yet the grim memory festered further in his mind, sending him down another road of nausea. The fact that they 're haunted by a family curse that turns them into animals when he hugs them? Even weirder. The weirdest thing perhaps is probably that this is now normal to him.

How he went from being an a barely stable wreck at one of the best space-cadet schools in the world, to suddenly being on a life-or-death mission for the universe with three other semi-unstable teens (one of which wants him dead), two aliens of royal birth, and a 152-year-old man who seemingly came back from the dead is beyond him.
To say this has been an interesting weekend would be a massive understatement.
