He meets a lot of wonderful people there, and things finally start to look up for him. The universe must really hate him, then, to deliver the four clans' leaders right to his front door.

Summary
You see the problem is that Doc laughs with his whole body.
That probably doesn’t sound like a bad thing to anyone else. And in all honesty Ren didn’t think it was a bad thing either. He adored making a stupid enough joke that it got Doc absolutely cackling. He loved the way the man's shoulders shook, the way his spine arched backwards, the way his head got thrown back. He loved the sound of his laugh, how if the joke was good enough Doc tended to wheeze and squeak adorably. And again! None of that sounded like a problem!
Until you remembered that Ren had a huge stupid crush on Doc.

A traumatic brain injury leads to a downward spiral for Steve. He's dropped from the Blackhawks, his recovery is slow and rocky, and he's got no idea what to do with his life.
Enter his old friends, Eddie and Dustin, who spend their time poking around decrepit haunted locations filming for their YouTube channel. Steve doesn't really believe in all this ghost stuff, but he's got nothing better to do than join them.
Besides, he might just be ever-so-slightly head-over-heels for Eddie Munson.
