Summary
Shoji's parents are extremely abusive. He has constant nightmares, panic attacks, and can't go a day without at least thinking about harming himself.
One day he falls asleep during lunch and while leaving to get to his next class with his close friend Tokoyami, he faints hitting his head against the table. Giving him a concussion and a cut on his forehead.
Now he has to stay with Tokoyami for the next ten days to properly heal.

Summary
Spoilers for both series since it takes place after, but they ended years ago.
After the event of Transformers Prime Predacons Rising, Megatron leaves Cybertron behind to wander the universe. Knowing Optimus sacrificed himself to save both Megatron and the planet was more than he could bear. Far away from any cybertronian settlement, his energon levels eventually fall to critical levels. As his systems slowly shut down, a space bridge portal unexpectedly opens to draw him to a group of autobots completely unknown to everyone except Optimus Prime. When all Megatron wanted was to be left alone, he begins to find new hope in second chances.
