“You mean the one we didn’t even do?“ Zooble interrupted, exasperated.
“-I’ve decided a different team building adventure is in order!” Caine continued. “One that’s perfectly designed to help you better understand your fellow circus members!”
Pomni took a step back, not looking forward to whatever this was going to be.
Caine snapped his fingers and opened a portal. “By the end, all of your issues will be completely resolved! And we can finally move past all this interpersonal drama and get back to enjoying all of my amazing adventures! Have fun, my terrific little teacups!”
“W-wait-“ Ragatha stammered as they all tried to resist being pulled forward. “Aren’t you going to explain what we’re doing!?”
“Ah-ah! No spoiling the show!” Caine said as the force behind the portal became stronger and they all got sucked in.
Or: Jax has been avoiding Pomni since their fight, but when an adventure involving memories goes wrong, will she find a way to get through to him in time, or will his past turn out to be too much for both of them?

Summary
Kaoru had no clue what Adam was talking about, or what he might be planning, but regardless, he was content to simply ignore him. However, Kojiro seemed intent on trying to burn a hole through Adam’s skull with his eyes. He was glaring daggers at him, even when his announcement was over and he moved off to the side of the stage. Adam was sure to notice soon, if he hadn’t already.
“Stop that…” Kaoru muttered under his breath.
Kojiro blinked and looked at Kaoru, like he hadn’t even realized what he was doing. “Stop what..?”
Kaoru rolled his eyes. “Just pay attention. The race is starting.”
The lights started flashing, then the start was signaled and they watched until Miya and Shadow were out of sight before looking up at the screens.
Kaoru sighed. “Should we go catch the end at the finish line?”
“Nah… I think I wanna hang out here a bit longer.”
Kaoru didn’t question it, not particularly caring either way. He would soon wish he had.
Or, emotions run high at S, Adam gets a bit of comeuppance, and a long overdue conversation ensues.

Summary
Companion piece to Landslide. A look at Kaoru's pov. Will not make sense on its own.
He’s going to be fine. He’s going to be fine. He’s going to be-
But no matter how much he repeated that to himself, it all kept replaying in his mind like scenes from some awful movie designed to torture him.
The rocks racing towards them, Kojiro tackling him off the edge of the track, Kojiro shielding him as they fell, the jolt of Kojiro slamming into the ledge, getting separated from Kojiro as they fell into the water, slowly resurfacing after getting his bearings-
Kaoru had struggled with panic attacks when he was younger, he’d experienced fear from bailing hard and knowing it was going to be a bad break before he even hit the ground, he’d feared being crushed by rocks just moments before, but nothing compared to the terror that set in when he realized Kojiro was nowhere to be seen.

CRACK!
Thud.
Kojiro lunged forward and reached out. ”Kaoru-!!”
But it wasn’t Kaoru… just one of his fans.
Kojiro just stood there for a moment, staring, then took a deep, shaky breath.
"Joe?"
“Are you alright?”
“I’m sorry, I… I need to go,” Kojiro said before all but running back to his motorcycle and driving home.
Or: Kojiro mysteriously starts having nightmares after Kaoru recovers from Adam's attack and moves back to his own house. He handles it VERY well...

Kojiro glanced over his shoulder. The rocks were almost on them- There was no time.
Looking back, it may not have been the smartest decision, but it was better than being crushed… probably.
Kojiro swerved and tackled Kaoru-
