No, Jax’s attachment was something less obvious, but extremely meaningful to the lavender hare. It’s eyes constantly being on her, taking notice of every small thing from her expressive face to her nervous pulling at the pompoms decorating her outfit. It’s his poking and prodding at her body to see all of what it can do. It’s his ears constantly being trained to her voice, the small changes in her tones from the various stimuli that the circus provides. "

Jax shuts himself away from the rest of the circus, drowning in his own anger and self-loathing. Days blur into weeks, and he convinces himself that maybe it’s better this way—that no one wants to see him anyway.
But Pomni doesn’t leave him alone. She doesn’t knock down the door, doesn’t push, doesn’t demand. Instead, she slips little notes and doodles beneath the crack, quiet reminders that someone is still waiting for him on the other side.
Sometimes, the smallest gestures are enough to keep someone from falling apart.

Jax is fine.
Completely and totally fine.
He's fine when his best friend suddenly becomes aggressive and turns on him. He's fine when he starts pushing everyone else away. He's fine after fighting with Pomni when she claims they're friends. And he's sure as hell fine when he locks himself and his room, slowly beginning to abstract.
Jax's world is coming down around him and he struggles to admit that he's lost control, that maybe he's never been in control.
When he started to abstract he didn't expect to wake up. He didn't expect the rest of the circus to suddenly be rallying with him after everything he said and did.
And he definitely didn't expect that he might finally have to admit, to himself and everyone else, that he's not okay.
(OR: After episode 6 Jax starts to abstract. The gang finds a way to stop it but there are… consequences. Jax is forced to think about his past and becomes angry at the idea that he once again could be hopeless. But is he really?)
