That was why he had brought him up so much recently, that was why he had sounded so concerned and smitten when they'd been talking about him earlier.

Summary
The Cat King might’ve thrown a whole two-day tournament for Edwin, but knight errant Charles was the one who won it for him.
Charles had been able to ignore the swelling and the ugly purple bruises for the rest of the tournament through sheer bloody-minded determination. He’d used the same grit that had got him out of bed and reporting for duty as a squire at dawn even when his dad had beaten welts into his back the night before. But the soreness radiating up from his knee and out from his shoulder was getting harder to put aside, now he didn’t have the next match looming ahead. Now he didn’t have Edwin’s honour to defend.

He loves to be the center of Edwin’s attention, always, and especially like this, when Edwin’s extra soft and gentle with him, when he’s open with his affection and doesn’t hesitate to show Charles how much he cares about him. “What do you think, Charles?”

Summary
Whoever held the greatest claim on his soul could be worse than Doll Spider. They might doom him to an eternity of pain that even he couldn’t imagine. But he didn’t care: this chance of freedom—of snatching victory from the creature that had stolen decades of his existence—was far greater than any risk.
“The claimant is unknown,” the Justiciar stated. “If they approach the court with the proper paperwork, or are willing to be put to the sword, we will revisit your case."

Following their return from Hell, Edwin and Charles had thought themselves safe. They had believed that Hell and its denizens had no more claim on Edwin's soul.
Unfortunately, not everyone is of the same opinion.
When Edwin is summoned to a tribunal to determine whether the Doll Spider or the Office of Lost and Found has the greater claim on his soul, it is up to Charles, Crystal and the Night Nurse to put things right. The truth, however, may be more complicated than it seems - and more than one of the agency will be forced to confront their demons.

Summary
Edwin ended up in Hallowe'en Town after his death and has been trying to escape ever since. When he receives an invitation to visit Christmas Town for the Festive Season, he thinks he might have finally found a way. After all, he is already familiar with Christmas. The twinkling lights and joyful music hold no temptation for him. His success is practically assured.
That is, until he runs into Charles Rowland, a boy with secrets of his own, who might just be just as unhappy as Edwin himself is.
A fusion with A Nightmare Before Christmas, but no real knowledge of the film needed.

Jack’s failed coup had not been without its consequences. When the dust had settled, the Pumpkin King had been summoned to a meeting where it had been decided that the only way to prevent a reoccurrence of such things was to foster better relations and understanding between the holidays. Now, each year, each realm is required to host a party of guests from the other lands at their celebrations.
It is a little ironic that Edwin is to be one of them. That he, who should never have been here—who is here on the merest of technicalities—is to act as Hallowe’en Town’s representative

"I'm finished." Charles declares with a triumphant grin. He holds up A Collection Of Greek Myths as if it is something to be treasured and Edwin can't help but smile.
"I told you that you shouldn't."
"I know, I know. You said I would hate it."
"And?" Edwin inquires with the raise of a brow.
Charles' grin quickly dissolves into something solemn and thoughtful. "I absolutely hated it, mate."
Edwin hums in agreement. He supposed he didn't love the ending of Orpheus and Eurydice's tale either.

Summary
"Crystal? Edwin?" A voice calls, but it sounds far away. It's so familiar, a name is on the tip of her tongue but she can't focus with the bruising touch of her friend and the horrors that surround her. "Crystal, come on! What am I supposed to—"
There is something skittering towards them, soft giggles filling the silence.
"Crystal!" The voice calls again, sounding closer now. "Edwin! You guys have to—" the voice is clearer, as if they are inside this gruesome labyrinth with the two of them.
"—come back!" Crystal is jolted back to reality. A long, shuddering gasp leaving her lips as she attempts to take a breath in. She is in the office, her face damp with tears and sweat. She is still cupping Edwin's cheeks.
Edwin, who is staring at her, is faring no better. He is no longer bloody, but tears are streaming down his face and snot is dripping from his nose. He shakes in her hold— or maybe, she is the one shaking. She cannot tell. "Edwin," she calls between gasps. "Edwin, oh my god—"

Summary
"I don't know if you have noticed but we are the Dead Boy Detectives, not a couple's counseling office." Edwin interrupts, words dripping with annoyance. Charles gives him a soft squeeze— a wordless scold towards his lack of bedside manner, but Edwin doesn't even spare a glance as he tries to subtly shrug the other boy's hand away, folding his hands atop the desk in front of him.
Charles tries his best to keep his face neutral, something in his stomach twisting at the brush off. He should be used it now, considering it's been four months.
Four months.
Four months since their return from Port Townsend. Four months since the Devlin House, and Esther, and David the Demon, and—
Hell.
It's been four months since Edwin looked Charles straight in the eyes and confessed that he loved him in a way Charles had never entertained; he had never even thought it was possible. Four months since Charles looked right back at his best mate—his favorite person in the world—and promised that this wouldn't change a thing between them.
Which it didn't!
At least, it didn't for Charles.
But Edwin..
Well, it just seems like Edwin wasn't exactly on the same page.
