The author (me) tries to find some comfort in their favorite character while grappling with executive dysfunction the fear of being cringe.
Originally written only for myself as an alternative to journaling, I’ve decided to share this in case anyone else is having trouble letting themselves “be cringe” or rather, be happy. Plus I’m kind of proud of what I’ve written. It’s just a little meta, which I suppose is normal for Spamton.

Summary
As he talks, the human gradually freezes up. What’s that phrase? ‘The mortifying ordeal of being known’? Kris is pretty sure it’s brand new to them. An unfamiliar mix of relief and absolute terror at being so exposed churns in their stomach. They can feel their lip trembling as they meet Spamton’s expectant, evidently all-seeing gaze. They could be overheard at any moment. “I—I think They’re gone. Right now.”
Behind those bicolored lenses, black pupils travel down to their armor, studying something. “REALLY!?!? LUCKY DUCK!! I SURE WISH I GOT [Union-Regulated Breaks] FROM MY [Eternal Subjugation and Unwilling Servitude].”
Panicking, Kris looks down, too. But they don’t see anything out of the ordinary. “What are you looking at?”
Spamton points. “YOUR [HeartShapedObject]. 1T’S NOT [All Yours] ANYMORE, IS IT? WHO’S THE [Freeloader]???”

What if Kris and Spamton kept talking when the Player was gone, or when they stepped away from their keyboard? What if there were things they didn't see? What if Kris and Spamton were co-conspirators the whole time?
