Summary
When veterinarian Karen stumbles upon an injured wolf in the woods, she can't bear to leave the animal to die. But after taking him home and patching him up, she finds a fully-grown man where the wolf used to be.
Frank tries to ignore the tug he feels towards Karen, like a magnet in his chest. He knows what it means. As the Alpha werewolf of his pack, he can't afford to get close to his mate. There's too much danger breathing down his neck to keep her safe.
But the Bonding has already begun. The only thing Frank can do is protect Karen until his dying breath.

Summary
It seems that Fisk being behind bars isn't enough to keep him from threatening Karen. So to protect her friends, she makes a break for it until she can make a plan.
When Frank finds out Karen is in danger, he has a hard time remembering why he was supposed to stay away from her. He tells himself he will just make sure she is safe and then step out of her life again. That's what he tells himself.

Summary
“How are you so calm about this?” Karen doesn’t get it. She’s trying to stave off an anxiety attack about a plane that hasn’t even started moving, and a complete stranger is clutching her vomit bag. Looking at her with a small, rueful smile that’s so attractive it’s only adding to the butterflies in her stomach.
“Did a few tours overseas. When you’re jumpin’ out of ‘em it’s easier to forgot about the plane itself.”

Frank has that look on his face that she knows means he’s very uncomfortable with the situation at hand. His eyes take in the color of the comforter, the bedroom furniture they picked out, the decor without any hint of recognition. He swallows hard and says something that makes her want to run far, far away.
He looks away from her to Curtis and asks, “No, I don’t. Curtis, where’s Maria?”

Summary
Follows on from Chasing My Mind
When it happens it isn’t how he thought it would be – and Frank did think about it, often – though he probably should have realised it would happen exactly like this. It’s them. They break through every barrier to the extreme, passing through multiple levels at once. They were never casual and Frank supposes this shouldn’t have been any different.
