The sun offered a warmth that felt like ribbons softened by boiled water caressing the delicate skin of a human. The orange-red tint of the sky slowly breached itself upon the fragile Earth, destining those who lived to witness the end of civilization. The cataclysm had never been on the bingo card. Climate change and global warming were mere boogeymen to most of America.
Yet, the cataclysm occurred as random as it appeared, with news anchors and government officials unable to properly soothe the very people they informed on a daily basis. No more could they cry 'hoax!' and 'bullshit!' Breaking news reports about celebrity scandals turned to warnings of sunburn and ash, while politicians burrowed into their specially built warfare bunkers. Common society was left in the light of the sun with two paths before them: survive or die.

I know this is stupidly different from the Punisher we know, but that, along with putting more focus on minority groups, is the point of Earth-618. (Plus, a friend dared me to do it) If this does well then, a Doctor Strange story may follow.

Also, do not read if you are under the age of 15 because as anyone will tell you, Punisher stories get bloody bloody BLOODY!
