Summary
Dexter is playing with his new friend, the Ice Truck Killer. He enjoys the attention his new friend gives him with his little clues and can hardly wait to see what he will reveal next. But the Ice Truck Killer isn't the only new person in his world. Rudy Cooper, the doctor who is providing Tucci with new extremities, is gradually sneaking further into Dexter's life. Surprisingly, Dexter doesn't mind it at all.

Leon Prater knew there was something strange about Ronald "Red" Schmidt when he parted with his first trophy far too easily - usually it'd take at least a few meetings before he got anything at all - let alone the first one, the most precious one.
His suspicion only rose as he observed his new guest's behavior and noticed several cracks in his profile - and while they were rather subtle, Leon Prater did not get to where he was by ignoring even the smallest holes in his information. "Red" was hiding something, and he would get to the bottom of it.
Despite his concerns, what Leon felt was far from fear or anxiety. If anything, he felt thrilled - for he might finally meet someone interesting.

Terra is not like Aqua and Ven.

Still, with Master Eraqus's help, he has long since sealed that part of himself away. Now at eighteen, Terra is confident he has overcome his darkness.
But everything changes when a new threat appears: a masked stranger with the ability to consume light - one who is fixated on devouring the very hearts of Terra's friends. Each encounter makes the enemy stronger and his friends weaker. Each countermeasure makes the enemy smarter and crueler. As the castle descends into fear, Terra realizes he may be the only one who can save them.
But to do so, he needs to discard everything Master Eraqus taught him.

Summary
Eraqus finds himself being asked to take in a pupil by the name of Vanitas, the supposed nephew of Braig, the Radiant Garden Guard, who fears for his nephew's safety, claiming that his previous teacher abused him. But a few things just haven't been adding up. For one, Vanitas and Ventus seem oddly connected. Second, Vanitas has some sort of connection to the darkness, though Braig brushes it off as an illness he can't be cured of. And lastly, there's no record of any one by the name of "Vanitas".
Eraqus now faces the possibility that he may have let a monster into his home.

After the mess Vanitas made of things during his trip to Monstropolis, Master Xehanort, in an attempt to stop him from disobeying any more orders, ordered Vanitas to stick around one of the other Organization members at all times. The choice of who he went with was left up to him.
Weighing his options and deciding to go with the least awful one, Vanitas decides to go and bother the replica with his presence.

Vanitas, on the other hand, isn't having any of it, but stays by her side as a way to spite the other True Darknesses.
