Akito feels his eye twitch. “There’s nothing we can do about that. It’s not worth bringing up,” he says coldly.

Even now, Akito felt a certain degree of loyalty to his prince. It was easy to coldly reject his name, but it was difficult to unlearn the years of loyalty and friendship.
After Prince Aoyagi is exiled from the White Kingdom, his knight Akito is left with a devastating loss. Years later, when the White and Black Kingdoms are at war, Akito finds that one of their most cunning soldiers is surprisingly... familiar. But that dragon master wants something very specific, and he won't stop until he has it.
This fic is based on "Just submit to me". I really like the au idea so I wanted to try making my own fic based on it.

“No, not me. You.” His father took a step towards Toya. However, the prince didn’t flinch. “When this plebeian returns with the crown, accept it from him and get him arrested. And don’t think this is going to go unpunished. You’re going to be on cleaning duty to lift some weights off the maids’ shoulders for a week unless on patrol duty. That is all I needed from you. You are dismissed.” When he opened the door, he gave Toya room to leave, and he did. Thoughts were spiraling in his head. Who told him? Did Akiyama or Tsukasa tell his father after he strictly told them not to?
…Who could he even trust anymore?
Toya Aoyagi was the prince of Terraspina, but wasn't too pleased with the role due to the burden surrounding the puzzle pieces he must put together... however, all of these pieces had varying edges that warped every time Toya tried to wrap his mind around it... like the mystery of his mother's death, his father's upcoming marriage, how his father was always somehow watching him... and how that orange-haired man manage to steal his crown.
*Note: Characters are aged up to their early 20s!

Summary
Akito Shinonome is a dedicated knight of Luminis, Crown Prince Toya's bodyguard and one of the youngest soldiers to survive the frequent and fatal monster raids. In a world where you're doomed to die too soon to achieve much in life he decides to tell Toya exactly how he feels about him, and when the prince returns those feelings he feels as though he's fallen into a dream.
And then it's stolen away, and when Akito wakes up in modern-day Japan with no memory or recollection of this strange new life, it's like the world has ended.
But then fate sends him three of the closest friends he could ever hope to meet, one of which is his prince--and though the path ahead of him is riddled with thorns and mistakes too big to simply brush away, all Akito can do is try to survive again.
