“Wilbur!” Techno called again but Wilbur didn’t stop, sticking his head above the water.
Waves crashed gently against him as he looked around. There were pieces of wood, poles, rails, a single wheel, and one of those round things humans use to stay afloat. Blankets and clothes drifting away.
It looked like a boat had been ripped apart.
In the center of it all... was a box.
A small wooden box that seemed to be the source of the noise. Wilbur drifted closer, curious expression on his face.
Ever so slowly, Wilbur pulled the box closer to him. Hands grabbing onto the latches at the top and pulling it open.
Inside was a human boy. Face red as tears too large for such a small face rolled down his cheeks. Golden hair going every which way.
He was so... so small...
Or, Wilbur finds a human baby tommy and claimed him as his own. Others aren’t a big fan of that.
