Summary
In the new world, it’s common for people to possess special powers called Quirk. With their appearance, the society drastically changed, bringing to the birth of new visions, new technologies, new threats… but specially, the birth of new jobs, like the profession of the hero. But despite this, a small percentage of the world’s population is born without a Quirk, and between them there was Izuku Midoriya, a teen born and grown without any kind of special ability… at least, until his fourteen, when, a week after his birthday, he got a Quirk, without any scientifical and rational explanation. Just as it was the fact that, another week after, he began to violently bleed from his mouth, after a stronger cough than usual. That day, he almost lost his life, for the huge loss of blood. It seemed that his body couldn’t bare the new just obtained Quirk for too long, or he seriously risked to die.

The plain-looking woman at the prescription pick-up desk cocks an eyebrow upon scanning the papers that Shouta hands her. “Midoriya Izuku,” she comments. “He’s the kid who got kidnapped, right? Someone found him in some basement.”
Shouta doesn’t like what he sees in her eyes. “Uh huh.”
“Huh. Makes sense that they’d lump him with a pro hero,” she intones, her eyes flitting to Hizashi. It sounds like she’s trying to crack some sort of relatable joke, but it falls critically flat. “With a quirk like that… well, I mean...”
“--and what are you implicating?" Shouta snaps.
Midoriya Izuku has an extremely dangerous quirk and falls under the hands of some extremely dangerous people.Eight years later, he is discovered within the midst of a League of Villains base raid.

“It hurts,” Izuku whispers to no one, voice thin and choked. Letting the words out makes it all feel real, and the tears he’d been holding back finally break the dam and roll down his cheeks. Wrapping his own arms around himself as he trembles in the storm of his despair is as close as he’ll be able to get to comfort right now. “It hurts, it hurts.”
He doesn’t want to have to do this alone. He’s so tired of having to push through pain alone. It’s something he’s been doing all his life, but can’t he, just once, have someone to hold him up when he stumbles?
Just once. That’s all he’s asking for.
