Summary
The artificial air brushes against his face as they emerge from the caverns, blocking the sunlight blinding him with a hand and anxiously speeding along through the forest and bursting through the foliage, nearly toppling down a hill the moment he spots another horse from afar, his own creature rearing up in panic at the glint of the sniper aimed directly in his direction before it’s immediately lowered and he locks eyes with someone so familiar that it makes his heart soar.
Clear blue meets his warm brown, and his chest rises and falls as he pants, a smile growing on his face.
“Fein…” He breathes, disbelieving and unable to get himself to move with the amount of overwhelming relief he’s feeling by the mere sight of the other man.
