“No!” Legundo jumped up too quickly, pausing to hold his aching head and facing Owen again, “No. I don’t think you see at all!”
The vampire refused to look at him through more than a side glance, “You don’t actually care about helping me. You just want a reason to sleep at night.”

“Jax, are you okay?” She spoke softly, moving behind the wall and trying to smile gently.
There was no instant response as Jax buried his face into his knees. Jax was quiet as Pomni sat down, he took a very shaky breath and kept his head down. “Please… stop looking at me. I don’t want you to.”
She obeyed the order, looking at her own feet instead. “I’m sorry this adventure isn’t going your way.”
A small laugh, no movement. “Everyone probably thinks I’m being a little b[%$!#]tch.”

Summary
~Airrin, was rather disturbing at times; in a good way, of course. Special usually meant the drink wasn’t just wine. “What year?”
Airrin looked away, thinking. His fingers moved one by one as he counted quietly to himself. “Oh- must have been around 40? It’s been bottled for a month though.”
This man was trying to sell him blood. Vere scrunched his nose and tilted his head slightly, he looked Airrin up and down as far as the view from the bar stool would allow. He wasn’t disgusted by the thought, far from it, but the self-imposed decorum around the matter felt off. Of course, he would rather die himself than reject a taste, so he allowed Airrin to refill his glass with the slightly thickened wine. He swirled it before taking a sniff; the blood’s metallic smell was easy to distinguish from the berry wine that it was mixed in. There was an extra hint of sweetness, likely from the blood slowly aging. Vere took a small sip, raising a brow in Airrin’s direction as he did so. The fey moved away from the bar and went to clean a glass from a previous patron.~
