It's a normal routine day. Just like all other days. That is, until everything gets shaken up and Battat believes his life is over. But when he wakes up the next morning, it's like nothing ever happened. The days are repeating themselves.
Not only does Battat have to get to the bottom of this mystery, but he's the only one aware that he's stuck in this endless loop.
He doesn't know just how dangerous this can get.

“Turn around,” the voice drawled, low. He could feel its breath on his back. Battat couldn’t move.
“You’re hilarious,” it continued, laughing under its breath. It seemed to be closer to his ear, now, as Battat could viscerally feel the rumble of its voice. It almost felt like purring. “You’re more than happy to run yourself ragged, spend endless nights spinning in circles… You’ll even die, but you won’t turn around?”
Pretending to be someone is all fun and games until someone pretends to be you.

Cat Mike would know what to do.
Cat Mike would give him a huge hug or a pat on the head or even a kiss on the cheek—which the Pippins would cutely fluster over, which he himself would explain with a smirk and a shrug.
Cat Mike would make him laugh, make him feel better.
But in this instant, he wasn't Cat Mike. He wasn't Mike, or even one of Mike's coworkers. He was just some random Shadowguy, probably prying too hard into someone else's personal business.
OR: The green Pippins unknowingly rambles to his coworker at a work party.
