Darkly inked skin turned back to its normal colour, demonic chuckles turned into soft groaning, the doll like features reappeared on the small face. All caused to his own ability. Dazai looked so small and fragile on the white hospital stretcher. His school uniform had been placed in a bag as evidence, soaked in blood and semen, and a hospital gown had been tied over him. From his shoulders down to his knees, his skin was covered in bruises, bite marks, and wounds. One of his legs was bent in a way it shouldn’t have been, unmistakably broken, and despite his unconscious state, it trembled, as if the shock had not yet left his body. Blood and urine continued to seep from between his legs.
“NO!! NO—” One of Yosano’s hands clung to the edge of the stretcher, as if she refused to let her brother be taken even a centimeter out of her sight, holding on with everything she had. “THIS ISN’T SAMU! THIS CAN’T BE! I SAW HOW HE LEFT THE HOUSE! HE WASN’T!—"
This could have been the worst moment of an big sister’s life but in time, she would witness even worse. By the time the others managed to pull her out of the room, it was already too late.

When the man flutters his eyelashes, Kunikida hears the ruffling of a dove’s feathers, just before it takes off. Kunikida can’t help the way he leans his shoulders back. In his own home, so aware of his posture, he feels ridiculous.
“Is that a bad thing?”
Dazai clicks his tongue. A dark pool of fine java drips across his body, sizing him up.
“Not at all.”
Kunikida realizes, staring at the man laid out on his couch, he had never seen him sober. Not once in their limited meetings.
Not until now, with the man’s eyes focused, and an absent smile tracing his lips. His cheeks looked pale without their usual flush, his eyes empty. Sober, he looked like a corpse.He had half a mind to voice his observation, but kept it to himself. Instead, he sucked on the sheen of mucus on his tongue and stepped over the living room threshold, closer to the stranger. What was one more stupid decision?
“Would you like some breakfast?”
