“Ah, I’m glad you like it,” Lyney replied, adjusting his hat. “The food definitely took the most work of it all; I already had the blanket, and there was no question of where we should go. I already knew I wanted to take you here.” As Lyney spoke, Aether took in the scenery around him once again.
“It was a good choice,” he said quietly. “The view is beautiful.”
“It is,” Lyney murmured. The direction from which the sound of his voice came from didn’t seem right, and Aether turned to see what Lyney was looking at. He felt his heart jump up into his throat upon seeing that Lyney was staring directly at him. Lyney gave a small, knowing smile as a warm blush took over Aether’s face.
The view is beautiful.
It is.
But the only thing in Lyney’s view was Aether.
