Summary

After Stede Bonnet's untimely exit from his life, Izzy Hands can't wait for things to finally go back to normal. Several months on, though, Edward isn't snapping back as quickly as anyone had hoped.
It would really help matters if there wasn't an assassin trying to kill the both of them. And, as time passes, it's becoming increasingly apparent to Izzy that it would be much easier to find a way to get along with Jim instead of constantly hauling them back to the brig. Perhaps he'll even find that they have more in common than he'd anticipated.

He hadn't been prepared for Baxter to make a social call. They'd gotten on well, of course; they'd made a stellar team. But it wasn't the sort of relationship where Baxter took Reg out to dinner as a spur of the moment thing. They'd eaten countless meals together, but they'd all involved work, and had mostly been eaten over paperwork. Reg had very fond memories of those meals, but they didn't have a "popping down to the coast" type of relationship.
Unless Baxter wanted to make it that sort of relationship.
Or, Reginald Hobday's enforced retirement is nothing like he imagined.
