Summary
Having been possibly the only one to create their Sandrock character based on the child of the marriage they had in Portia, (yes, even despite them already having a backstory and parents planned out) reluctantly, battling with myself on this for weeks, decided to write a little something that per usual morphed into a big something.
This short little story follows closely with the post-game sidequest and the entrance of our lovey Portian Family: Gale, Gust and Ginger. Though it is spoilers for the quest line, there is also additions and rangely follows the pov of my Builder; Elizabeth. Not only growing confused upon her attendance in the family matter but also unveiling that maybe there's more beneath the layers than Gale deems to share with her.
Or alternatively...
A random fic that, by all means probably shouldn't have seen the light of day, had it left my brain since starting this game, follows a telling of how I conveniently put together a complicated backstory that canonically introduces my Builder from Sandrock is in fact the daughter of my Builder and Gust in Portia.

Perhaps to the point they'd do absolutely anything for that person's happiness?
But to the extent of risking the possibility of falling for more than one person in the process is the real question.

Pen knew he was popular with the ladies, well, at least back home, just ask his fanclub! But no one in Sandrock seemed to show him much interest until the new builder, Lucy, showed up. One too many drinks had the builder all over Pen one late night at the Saloon and while Pen may have blood on his hands, he at least had the decency to ensure his partners were sober enough to consent.
However, when word gets back to Matilda, it becomes clear that the best way to keep the budding builder under a watchful eye would be to have Pen forge a relationship with her. He can distract and slow down her progress, and maybe she’d even be willing to join their side, or at the very least, not have the heart to fight against her beloved in the end.
It’s not like Pen could ever fall for his enemy, right?
Chapters 8 and 12 rated (E). All others rated (M).

Hades and Persephone myth, but make it Sephiroth and Aerith and fucked up in different ways.
