[HIATUS/SLOW UPDATES]
A court provides order, a system. Tim works best in systems, where his mind can crunch everything into the spaces they need to be. After being convinced of his uselessness for justice with his old family, Tim joins a new one, where he isn't constantly beaten half to death by old and new teammates. He has an identity of his own, and not some stolen mantle.
Though, as exciting as it is to be sent back into the city, out on a mission, family ties never seem to truly die.
---
Or, Tim is salty about Damian beating him half to death and is part of the Court of Owls. Drama ensues.

Summary
Bruce circles him. He’s barely broken a sweat, highly conscious of the lack of ache in his own muscles. “You need to improve your stamina,” he growls. “This isn’t good enough.”
His tone is cruel, biting.
Tim should lash out at it. He should snap back that he’s trying, that he’s doing his best, that he is improving.
Instead, he just nods, adjusting his stance. He swallows, throat audibly clicking with dehydration. “Again,” he croaks out. “Let’s do it again. I’ll get it this time.”
And Bruce should refuse. He should insist he take a break, should send him to go get something to drink, should tell him they’re done for the night so he won’t be too sore to train again tomorrow.
Instead, he matches his stance.

Tim is an unwanted android, a Robo-Child. After being sent back by his parents, his last and only hope rests in the hands of a man still grieving the loss of his own son.
“I didn’t ask for a replacement,” Bruce barked. “I don’t want a replacement! You can go back and tell the RCO I don’t need a replacement.”
Bruce Wayne didn’t want him. If Bruce Wayne didn’t want him, he’d be sent back and dismantled.

Summary
Bruce tuned out whatever the priest had to say, kneeling when necessary and going through the motions as usual. This all came very easily to him.The smell of incense and window cleaner lingered in the air.
Oppositely, something that did not come easily to Bruce were the parts where the choir would sing, for the choir boy would stare hardest when he was singing, as if he were singing to Bruce specifically. A song of hatred, disdain, rage, would ring through the air, and Bruce could feel a part of himself die. He wished he could be deaf every Sunday.
