Summary
He stills and Jason does the same. They meet eyes and Dick is suddenly aware of how Jason’s body feels against his. His heart hammers. When did he start wanting children? When did he start feeling jealous of other omegas and wanting the same for himself? He voices it without meaning to. The words fell out quick and free.
“ I think I want to be a mother.”
Jason freezes. His own eyes grew wide. Dick’s cheeks grow warm and the alpha’s does the same. Unlike in his youth, the flush is even and smooth, highlighting freckles and high cheekbones.
“Oh.”
They stare awkwardly while the sound of happy children and families rings out around them. Dick swallows Jason’s hands still not leaving his arms. Every place they touch tingles, Dick tip-toeing subconsciously.
In an instant, the alpha goes from flushing to smirking. His lips twist in a teasing smugness that echoes in his touch. For a brief moment, the hands around him squeeze with just a hint of strength.
“ You know- I could help with that. “
