Summary
The Ritsuki clan was a relic from the past. In what's remaining of the records from the warring states, a clan of dark haired Shinobi could be seen flitting here and there in multiple battlefronts. Legends wrote about the long lost clan with intellect that rivalled the Nara, eccentricity that surpasses the the Uzumaki, and a survival rate that leaves much to be desired.
So, when the clan faded from History textbooks after the second Shinobi war, no one was really surprised, because half the clan were fainting from low blood sugar in ditches, the other half were chronically depressed. (Apparently using yin chakra has more side effects than laziness)
Imagine everyone's surprise, when a family of Ritsuki appeared at Konoha's gates one spring afternoon, declaring war on said village.
Chaos ensues, and Nara Shikaku hides in the toilet to cry.
(Alternative title: If there was an entire clan modelled after Dazai Osamu from Bungou Stray Dogs)

Summary
The Akatsuki sends its three youngest members across a channel for what was supposed to be a straightforward job. However, a price on your head often means dangers in your past. As these dangers catch up with the Akatsuki, loyalties are tested, trust is betrayed, and the success of the contract lies on the shoulders of two boys, one unable to trust, and the other becoming increasingly struck by the plight of the people they’re helping.

Really good OC, just felt slightly wordy when MC just graduated and was apprenticed to Kushina. It’s a AU so minato and kushina are alive, MC is a few years younger than Naruto’s generation but graduated a year before them at 7(?). Up to when MC is 10/11 and chuunin, leading a mission with a genin team. Quite a nice take with darker sides of konoha, not v dark yet, but morally grey and manipulative people. MC has realistic character flaws that makes it an even btr read. Side characters are also well written. (33)
