Summary
In the middle of a stormy night where the sky itself seems to be set on ripping the world apart, a young knight in training named Link is woken up by a desperate call from Zelda, the Princess of Hyrule. She’s trapped in the dungeon of the castle and she needs help.
Link’s uncle and only parental figure leaves with an order for his nephew to stay home, but Link can’t help himself when his beloved Princess, the unknowing recipient of his undying love, is calling out for help.
He rushes out into the night and unto his destiny as the Hero of Legends.
A Link to the Past novelization with some liberties to allow for Zelda to have a more active role and to incorporate some elements that hadn’t been introduced to the Zelda lore yet back when the game was released.

Summary
Link knows he will eventually have to face Demise's Curse, and has been training obsessively for 11 years in preparation. Even armies of monsters aren't much of a threat anymore.
But when the Master Sword is cursed so badly it can't even be put to rest, and people are being attacked by monsters all over Hyrule, despite the fact there doesn't seem to be any monsters roaming around for the Hero to fight, and with part of the population being more hindrance than help because they don't believe in either the Hero nor the Princess, Link and Zelda find themselves faced with nothing but unsolvable problems and very little to go on. And the Enemy has more unpleasant surprises in store yet...

Summary
The King and Queen of Hyrule have forbidden the Princess and the Hero from socializing until the Hero's quest starts in earnest, in a bid to avoid potentially disastrous romantic troubles between the two.
A fourteen-year old Zelda doesn't feel that's a risk yet - Link is twelve, he's still a CHILD - and really wants to meet the Hero again. They haven't seen each other since he was identified as the Hero, about four years earlier.
Faced with no other options, she decides to sneak out and go visit Link without her parents' permission...(Belated) bonus one-shot for 1,000 hits on All That Hurts Us! Thank you!

Summary
His birthmark was strange - it was a very specific shape. Three equilateral triangles arranged so they outlined a bigger triangle, with two at the bottom and one at the top. Most people in Hyrule would recognize the shape as the Triforce, an ancient artifact left behind by the Goddesses. The symbol was used in many places, but specifically ones that had to do with the royal family or the Goddesses. So, Link tried to hide the birthmark from people he didn’t already know - he feared what the symbol might mean.
Or: Link doesn't expect to be anything more than the son of a travelling merchant. But a fair in Castle Town teaches him how wrong that assumption was, and leads him on a dangerous quest of bravery, love, and betrayal.

Summary
Link storms the fortress of the Yiga Clan where he expects to find Ganondorf the King of Darkness waiting for him. Except...he's arrived about 30 years too early for Ganondorf to do battle with anyone. And he takes that personally, and decides that's his responsibility now.
(Each work in the series is planned as a standalone that builds on the first work, so although I'll never mark the series "finished," each individual piece will provide a satisfying conclusion unless marked "unfinished.")
