"Didn’t make any friends during orientation?”
She laughed- then stopped abruptly because that was actually not a joke. “Um…no. I don’t make friends easily.”
She waited for him to look at her with pity, or offer false reassurances. He looked mildly contemplative instead. “I think most people’s ‘friends’ are actually just acquaintances, anyway.”
Mel blinked. “You think so?”
“It’s important to remember that most people are bullshitting you like…at least sixty percent of the time.”
Mel wasn’t sure if this extended to him. If it did, would he tell her? Probably not.

Summary
Eddie is soft when he sleeps. During the day he’s wound taut, one thing or another always running through his head and keeping tension in his muscles, but when he’s asleep - oh yes, when he’s asleep his defenses melt away. All the hard edges smooth out, his body goes all loose and pliant, and his mind mellows into the background.
Venom loves when Eddie sleeps, and he does it for hours at a time. Sometimes even eight or nine. Nine whole hours, and Venom has its host’s warm body right there to explore.

Summary
When Madara awoke, he had expected darkness.
Caught off guard on a mission gone awry, injured, and trapped in a blizzard, he had been easy pickings for a party of Hagoromo Kekeii Genkai traders. Though he put up a fight, it was ultimately useless. He was poisoned, his eyes taken, and then left to bleed out in the snow. He had expected death at best, and blindness at worst.
He had not expected to wake up in his clan's medical ward, eyes still fixed in his skull, healed, and with a fresh soul mark on his cheek.
---
Somewhere, far past the river that divided their warring lands, Tobirama looked down at his hands with the soul mark that stained them, and his blood turned to ice.

Summary
In the shadow of a village built on impossible dreams, two men find themselves bound by an arrangement neither sought. Tobirama, the accomplished alpha who carries his failures like stones in his chest, has exhausted every medical intervention, every desperate attempt to fix what his father's cruelty carved from him. Madara, the omega who makes alphas kneel, refuses to bend to a society that would see him broken before it sees him equal.
When Hashirama's well-meaning machinations bring them together, what begins as mutual convenience becomes something far more dangerous. In the space between expectation and reality, between the roles they cannot play and the people they truly are, an understanding takes root.
But some hungers run deeper than flesh, and the greatest intimacy may lie not in what bodies can do, but in the brutal honesty of being seen, truly seen, by someone who knows what it means to disappoint the world simply by existing.
Sometimes the only way forward is to stop pretending to be whole.
