Summary
The second thing Kakashi noticed about him was that he looked young, he looked around Kakashi’s age, no older than 21 or 22 at least. Blonde, unruly hair splayed out on the ground, the golden tips dyed red with his blood. His face looked calm, despite the state of the rest of him. Long blonde lashes rested against tan cheeks in his unconsciousness. Kakashi scowled at the scars that marred the man’s cheeks, three whisker like scars on each side, original cuts so deep they seemed indented still in his flesh. Blood seeped out of his nose and dribbled over his lax lips. Nothing about the man screamed imminent danger. He looked so small and innocent, pitiful in the puddle of his own blood.
---Or the one where Naruto crashes (quite literally) into a past that isn't his and not so smoothly tries to save it.

Summary
Layla Hassan has a crazy idea, once she finally pings upon who the Reader really is. Taking into account human genetics and general Isu Fuckery it's an idea that just might work, crazily enough.
The results are...interesting, to say the least, but Desmond could use some actual love and care in his life even if he can't recall WHY exactly--and if it gives Layla enough of an excuse to fuck around with some Isu programming in the background all in an attempt to stop one crazy fool from burning on a pyre not of his design? More power to them. It's the Isu's own fault after all--they made Layla and Desmond into this. They Named them--and Names, well, Names can have some pretty powerful connotations.
The Reader of the Calculations, a man who perpetually burns in the power of the Sun, simultaneously stuck in 2012 and dead at the same time. Schrödinger's Sacrifice.
The Heir of Memories, a woman who has more people in her brain that she realizes, who lacks any significant Isu blood, and yet still retains her sense of self so STRONGLY despite outside influences. Alone in a crowd, the Unexpected Sacrifice.
Then there was Clay. Clay was honestly a surprise.

“Listen to me, LISTEN.” Techno grabs the front of Dream’s shirt, yanking, and when Dream tries to kick away, grabbing a handful of snow in his hand, Techno swings, punching Dream hard across the face. He can feel the mask crack under his fist, and he does not care, even as it crumbles off Dream’s face, falling to the ground. “Get this through your head-”
Dream coughs, gasping for air, trying to back away, hitting his hands against Techno’s arms. “Wait, wait, Techno, think about this-” Techno slams a fist across his face again. Blood hits the snow.

In which Techno has slowly but surely been developing a grudge against Dream, with Wilbur getting pushed to insanity and death (Dream had only pushed him farther), with Phil’s wings getting clipped to comply with his rules (Those were his wings, Dream had no Right-), with the way he’s always after power, always after control (Always meddling, always switching where it’ll benefit the most).
It boils over when he finds Tommy hiding away under his house, dirty, cold, and broken.
At that point, Dream is just fucked.
