Summary
This started as just another night for Jace of dragging around the most (in his opinion) useless, uncoordinated vampire with a case of chronic verbal-diarrhoea on patrol after Alec had started paring Shadowhunters and Downworlders together. This was on his mission to prove to the Clave that collaboration works. Jace hadn’t anticipated that Alec, his parabai, his brother would pair him with Simon. From the moment he met Simon he knew this guy was going to test him; and he has. He tests Jace’s patience and tolerance on a daily basis as well as his shadowhunter's ability to keep someone with an unconscious death wish from meeting the final end.
Tonight was no different. Simon was completely oblivious to the fact that they were being followed, that the tables had been turned and they were now prey for a downworlder who didn't play by the Accords.
When Jace crosses boundaries, he didn't expect Simons response. That night starts something between them that Jace finds himself not being able to draw away from, heart on the line.

Or, Merlin and Arthur start hooking up around the end of s1, after they’ve both, in a completely platonic way, decided the other is worth dying for. This situation is just a FWB one, not at all romantic, right? Right?
(OR or; author explores Merlin's crazy fucking devotion to Arthur, and Arthur's crazy devotion to Merlin. They're so codependent.)
