Lan Zhan looks at him as if he has gone insane.

Wei Ying stops swinging his feet. He blinks several times in a row. "Wait," he says.

Please note: I am more than certain there is a western bent to this fic, unfortunately, particularly around the cultivation angle, and I wish I could have done better with that aspect of it.

“Do you like it?” Huaisang still looks offended, like the mere existence of that thing is mocking his existence. “I could do a better one, if you do. This thing is grotesque.”
“There’s no need, that’s fine.”
It is, indeed, grotesque.
It’s so ugly, Jiang Cheng still wants to look for who did it only to ask if they really knew how a puppy origami should look like, but it’s also his.
It’s ugly and it’s his and he is so so happy.
