“Are you excited?” Max asks, the words echoing a little differently in his head than they usually do because of his earplugs.
“For the race?”
“The race. The season’s end.” Max closes his eyes, nestling closer. ”Tonight.”

Summary
It happens the same way it always does.
(It's just discipline. It's not that bad. It's fine, Peter is fine, he'll be fine--)
Except he really isn't fine, and Tony knows something's up, and Peter's house of cards is falling apart, and so the story goes.

Summary
“Are you a little?”
Max's expression doesn't change when Daniel blurts the words at him.
He answers, “Yeah.”
Then he shrugs.
Like Daniel’s entire world doesn’t tilt on its axis with the movement. Like this information was obvious, or innocuous, and shouldn’t completely blow Daniel’s mind the way it does.
“What the fuck? Since when.”
“Since I was sixteen, obviously, Daniel.”
“I would’ve noticed,” he weakly argues. “There is no way I wouldn’t have noticed.”
Save for last week, never had Daniel’s caregiver instinct ever been set off by or around Max. There is just no way Max could’ve regressed around him. He would’ve noticed.
Daniel can’t be a failure at this, too.
“No one notices,” Max replies, “which is good. I am quiet when I regress.”
“What do you mean, quiet?”
“As in, I do not speak, Daniel.”
--
When Daniel discovers that Max, his former teammate and friend, has secretly been a little for as long as they've known each other, he finds himself unable to stand by when he learns that Max might need his help as a caregiver. The problem is, does he want it? -

Summary
Max Verstappen seems like the type of person who's self-centered, pedantic, and rude; at least when you first meet him.
He is too honest to the point of being a hazard to the reporters (some reporters are quite annoying, can't blame Max entirely for that one)
Also, he can be aggressive towards people when things don't go his way (Jos Verstappen, we're looking at you)But in the eyes of Daniel Ricciardo, he's just Maxie, a sweet boy who likes to cuddle and has so much trauma to unpack that chooses to regress to a younger headspace to process his childhood and abusive father.
