—since the incident! He latched onto the thought desperately, like a man swallowing his final gasps of air. Ever since then, it was possible that, maybe, Hijikata had been different! Gintoki had worked so hard on avoiding him that it was difficult to say, but that one time they had bumped into each other at the supermarket and Hijikata had given him a heavy, unreadable look and then tossed a pack of condoms into Gintoki’s basket was very suspicious in retrospect!
