They only existed in the concept of the passing beat of a heart and the steady thrum of a pulse. Blood rushing beneath the surface, warming skin once cold.

He just can’t seem to beach anymore. What’s the point if there is no one to show off to? If there is no Barbie?
He doesn’t try and use his head anymore to understand what she was trying to say. No amount of time could help him find his spot in this world, he needs help. He needs Barbie.
So, despite her words, Ken went out to look for her like he always used to do. In such a dangerous world, maybe she could use some Ken anyways, it’ll be his way of making the relationship he’ll be pushing onto her mutual. She can help him and he can help her. Like they were made to do.

“It’s not your eyes that need to be fixed.”
For a moment, he’s back in the hospital with his head throbbing and immense pain coursing through his veins, his lungs on the verge of collapse, his body begging for it all to end. He’s tired, so tired. Tired of not knowing anything, tired of the constant aches, tired of trying to find himself with nothing to show.
“I don’t understand.” His voice, over the flames and screams in his head, comes out quiet. He’s not sure if he even said the words out loud or if he merely moved his lips, mute with nothing but ragged breath escaping.
A strong arm pulls him back into the priest’s warm chest.
“You reek of monkey.”Temporary amnesia due to severe trauma. It’s all the doctor can tell Satoru when he wakes up bloodied and bruised with no ID on him and no fingerprints matching any record. Plagued with the idea that his life must have been meaningless if no one is even looking for him, Satoru finds himself in front of a buddhist temple that proves him otherwise. As the haze around his memories clears, the guesses of who did this to him and why turn muddier and muddier.

Summary
The mystery surrounding Nevermore has finally been solved causing the term to end earlier than expected as the school recoups after the loss of two faculty members. Enid returns home to San Francisco where she comes face to face with a mystery centered around her. There she finds out what it means for a wolf who shifts for the first time while under the blood moon. Enid may just be more powerful that she thought.
If only her mother would stop setting her up with a potential mate as she deals with new revelations.
Good thing Wednesday is there to save the day, solve the mystery, and show a werewolf they stand no chance at winning Enid's affections.
