Thanos stares down at the ball in his hands with a sense of rising dread.
The object itself poses no issue. Round, shiny, entirely harmless. He shifts the item around his ringed fingers, examining the blurry, muddled reflection that shines back at him through the sphere. The issue isn't the object itself. It’s the color.
Light blue, the same color as the sky outside in the real world. Slowly, he turns his head towards where Nam-gyu stands in the crowd, his own plastic ball held tightly in his grasp. Blood red instead of blue — they’ve been placed on opposing teams.

Summary
The Front Man closed the space between them in two short strides. His gloved hand darted out to grip Gi-hun’s face, forcing his chin upward. “I entertained your demands to re-enter the games, indulged your misguided notions and faulty sense of duty. I let you play the hero, at the expense of my own guards. I let you have your fun.”
“Why indulge me at all?” Gi-hun burst out. “Unless some part of you agrees with me?”
“I gave you a chance to prove me wrong. You failed.”
“I failed because you murdered Jung-bae.” Gi-hun’s voice hitched over the lump in his throat. “And Young-il.” And probably every other member of their failed coup.
The Front Man stilled. “Player 001 has not been eliminated.”
Gi-hun’s heart gave a painful lurch. He must’ve heard wrong. That, or this was another game. Another trick to drive him to the breaking point. “What did you say?”
“Cooperate and you’ll see Player 001 again, as a sign of goodwill.”
After the failed coup, the Front Man offers Gi-hun the chance to see Young-il again—in exchange for his continued cooperation.

In-ho’s fingers had felt so hot on his chin.
Gi-hun puts his fingers there. It’s not sensitive, it’s maybe less sensitive than the rest of him—he can’t feel anything on the surface of the scar.
He huffs, and stares down into the sink.
He hasn’t felt like this in a long time. He barely even recognises the heat that is making the hair on his arms tingle, that is sending shivers across his stomach and down his thighs.
He’s turned on.
He stares accusingly at the bathroom door. Hwang In-ho turned him on, and then left.

Now, Se-mi wasn’t religious. She didn’t have any beliefs. When it came to death, she never thought about what came afterwards. Maybe despite having no religion, she’d either see the pearly gates or the devil smiling back at her. She even considered that nothing came afterwards—that it’d be just darkness. And truthfully, she feared that the most.
Here’s another thing she eventually considered—being a ghost who roams the land until she can finally rest. She doubts she’d be a vengeful spirit, but it’s still something to look forward to.
Something that Se-mi wasn’t looking forward to was seeing Thanos’ face—grinning ear to ear. “Welcome to Thanos’ World, señorita.” What. the. fuck.

“Please,” Nam-gyu begs. He crawls a little closer. Back bent nicely. “Come on, man. Just one more. I promise.”
As per the last couple bouts of pleading, Thanos caves. “Alright, shit, but don’t ask me for more.”
“Nah, dude, this’ll carry me for the day,” Nam-gyu insists, outright pleased with his manners of persuasion. Shameless. “Thanks, bro.”
Thanos has had a few girlfriends like Nam-gyu, egotistical and dirty-mouthed. The sort that would make a mean little face, call him a selfish asshole, and give him head two hours later. Real bitchy.
It’s hot, in a trashy party girl sort of way.

Summary
Thanos feels like he’s losing his fucking mind.
The worst part is that it isn’t even because of the games. With drugs pumping through him, the games aren’t a problem for him at all; it’s exciting. He looks forward to the exhilaration, the fragile teetering between life and death. Each game reminds him of the way the gentle breeze had felt against his face as he leaned over the bridge, fully prepared to die.
So, no; it’s not the games that are making his brain go into overdrive, nor is it the constant, looming possibility of being killed. It’s not the sights of blood and gore, or the way his drug supply is dwindling, or the fact the money isn’t piling up as quickly as he’d like it to.
It’s fucking Nam-gyu.

“It matters cause you’re part of Thanos world,” the rapper replied, pointing to himself in his usual egotistical manner and turning his gaze back to the other, but there was an odd sharpness in his eyes; something like anger, but not exactly.
OR Nam-gyu has a positive interaction with someone, and Thanos doesn't enjoy witnessing it. Now with a post-mingle chapter!

“I bet you can’t do it.”
“What?”
Thanos leans closer until his breath ghosts against Nam-gyu’s ear. “Catch me.”
Nam-gyu stills, the hair on the back of his neck prickling with goosebumps. His eyes flick sideways to meet Thanos’. Usually, it’s Nam-gyu pushing into Thanos’ space, not the other way around. After a beat too-long, Nam-gyu scoffs and turns away, twirling the knife between his fingers.
“As if your sorry ass even stands a chance in there.”

Look, Nam-gyu has one priority when it comes to these games and that’s getting Thanos out alive - which shouldn’t be as difficult as it’s proving to be. It’s just that…well, Thanos keeps collecting people, and Thanos would be sad if any of those people died so Nam-gyu supposes that makes them his fucking problem too.
(OR: Thanos is there for the rest of the games.)

Summary
Having said that… The vast majority of complaints Kaede receives tend to revolve around… well, Kokichi, obviously. He has a penchant for lying and an even bigger love of causing problems. At first, Kaede had been worried about him—was he lashing out due to deeper feelings of frustration or loneliness?—but the more she got to know him, the more obvious it became that, well… Kokichi is just like that.
She’s getting better at handling him, though. Kaede would like to think that now, after nine months together, she can finally call Kokichi one of her friends. She really worked for it, too—which is why it is perhaps no surprise when she’s called in for a meeting with her two older class representatives (Makoto from class 78, and Chiaki, from 77b) to discuss how to deal with the troublemakers in their respective classes.
Or, well. Kaede’s teacher sells it to her as a group brainstorm, but it immediately becomes pretty obvious that it’s more of a plea for help.
