“Why’d you ask for us to run this together?” she asks and he purses his lips.
“I didn’t.”
Her brow furrows. “Then why…”
“I tried to point out you would be the better choice but Toni took it and ran with it.”
Betty nods. “So… how do we go about this?”
He suspects there’s more to her question than just the newspaper. He sighs, dropping into a chair, cursing Toni and Weatherbee. “Well, I guess we’ll need to be on speaking terms in order to run a newspaper.”
“Are we not on speaking terms?”
“I don’t know, Betty, you tell me. We really haven’t spoken since the first night we got back to town.”

Betty and Jughead are assigned to re-start the Blue and Gold and supervise the students but they've got their own tensions to deal with.

Summary
“Hey.” He practically grunts the word, throwing back the last of his drink and beginning to push back from the bar.
“Don’t go,” she says without thinking and he finally turns his head to look directly at her; she doesn’t miss the way his eyes flick down her body and focus on her lips for just a second before meeting her gaze.
She can’t deny that she’d dressed with the intention of attracting attention, but there’s something about the way Jughead looks at her that makes her feel simultaneously warm and cold at the same time. Her body heats up under his gaze but her heart feels cold when she sees the almost-contempt in his expression.
“Pretty fancy outfit for a night at the Wyrm,” he says, and the penny drops.
Or: Betty begins to open up about her trauma and what she went through with TBK. Veronica and Jughead also star.

Summary
When Alice opens the door, she looks him over with a smile.
“I’m glad you’re here. Hopefully you can fix this,” she says simply, patting him on the shoulder affectionately. “She’s in her room. I trust you remember where it is.”
She seems to be biting back a smile, despite the worry in her eyes and he can’t help the short laugh that escapes him. “I think I can find it,” he replies, making his way upstairs.
OR; Betty finally talks about what happened with TBK and she and Jughead begin to repair what they broke

Summary
When his phone rings, he guesses it’s Jessica being the bigger person again and calling to ask if they can talk it through and figure out what isn’t working and how they could make it make it work. Lord knows his credit has run out.
“Hello?”
“This is the Sibley Memorial Hospital, Washington. Is this Forsythe Jones?”
“This is him, yes. How may I help you?” He questions, confused. Why the hell would a hospital be calling him?
“We are calling because of a patient admitted here, you’re her emergency contact.” Her. “Elizabeth Cooper.”
It’s as if he’d been dropped six feet under in half a second. Her name coming out of a stranger’s mouth. Elizabeth. He swears you could have heard a hair pin drop in that moment. The world stops, not even traffic in NYC keeps moving.
“Are you sure I’m her emergency contact?” He manages to question, the words are difficult to come out, and he can’t help but question how in the world after all this time, he’s her emergency contact. He didn’t even know he used to be. That he was her person in life or death situations.

If Jughead had been Betty’s emergency contact after she was abducted by the TBK
