Whatever Ed was expecting, it wasn’t this. Stede was right, the stays fit like a warm embrace, but there was something more to it. Perhaps it was Stede’s breath against his shoulders, or the pull of the stays against his undershirt, but the gentle pressure was *intoxicating.* It was as if Stede’s hands weren’t just at his spine with the laces, but also around his torso, around his chest, and holding him tight. Like the familiar pressure of his knee brace, the stays were a comfort, a reassuring but unyielding press against his torso.He wasn’t sure how, but the stays even smelled like Stede and his yummy lavender soap. He shivered, looking over his shoulder at Stede as he felt the knot be tied at the base of the stays, right at his hips. “...Well?”

Israel Fucking Hands had never been so fucking embarassed in his life. Here he sat, on a plush, silk chaise lounge, with that fucking dandy-man prancing around him in not much but a robe. And he himself? Fuck, he was wearing naught but his linen shirt. Normally, the shirt was perfect for keeping himself cool, but now it was unbearably hot. With Lucius, fucking Lucius, giving him glances with dirty intentions from the corner, and Ed cooly watching him undress, Izzy had already had quite the time not acting as hot and bothered as he already was.
“Everyone needs a good Banyan, Israel!” Stede flounced, waving his hand in the air for emphasis. “What else are you supposed to relax in?!”

She tried desperately to still her hammering heart, her hand resting just below the collar of her black dress. His pupils dilated. Her heart beat faster still.
